- Studied composition, arranging and conducting in Brazil and in the USA at Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts.
- Started his studies in electronic music at Berklee in 1970. Since then, has been constantly improving his level of proficiency and is presently known for his leadership in the matter in Brazil. Has also taught several courses and seminars for Brazilian musicians. - Has been active since the early Sixties as composer/arranger devoted to the Brazilian popular music. During the "Bossa Nova" period, worked with important composers and lyricists such as Vinicius de Moraes and Geraldo Vandré. - Also wrote soundtracks for some Brazilian feature films. |
